In Vasik we acknowledge our corporate social responsibility. And solely through our work we protect items of great value, not just from being stolen, but also from being destroyed in fires, by water damage, in power failures or other similar incidents.
We help people feel safe, but we also help both society and the environment through our services. Our guards turn off lights, computers and other assorted machinery if needed, in order to save on electricity. They turn off running water taps, report faulty toilets, remove bothersome or harmful objects from walking areas – and more. In essence, we help our clients contribute to a better environment and a higher degree of security.
Our position on the environment is clear: If we can contribute positively with consideration to our day-to-day work – THEN THAT IS WHAT WE WILL DO.
For instance, we abide by the new EU-standards for vehicles from september 2018, abbreviated to WLTP, by using HYBRID vehicles and continually switching out old models with newer, more environmentally friendly ones.
We have reduced the amount of paper we use, by making all of our guard reporting digital, amongst other things. All our portable devices are rechargeable, and all kinds of transport planning is done with consideration to both our operations and the environment.
We also lift our social responsibility when it comes to the human element. For instance, very few danish security companies offer young people an education as a security guard. At Vasik we lift that responsibility and help young people to an education and a career in the security industry. We do this by continually taking in interns, and going above and beyond the demands placed on us in regards to the number of trainees.
Vasik hires both men and women, and we do not discriminate against any ethnicity. We only care about the candidate’s skills and, of course, their personality and attitude towards being a security guard. At Vasik we have people working flexjobs and internships when possible, often in close cooperation with our clients. Since 2014, Vasik has donated a yearly sum of money to Danske Julemærkehjem, which helps children lose weight and live a healthier life. We also sponsor a variety of local initiatives.
Our employees are our most important asset, and we see their well-being as our responsibility. To this end, we create a good and safe work environment. We also offer a variety of options with regards to physical training, exercise, dentistry etc.
We take corporate social responsibility through the HAE-concern by having a shared CSR-policy, among other things.
