In Vasik we acknowledge our corporate social responsibility. And solely through our work, we protect great value both from being stolen, but also from being destroyed from fire, water damage, power failure or other similar incidents.
We create security to a lot of people and at the same time, we help the society and the environment through our social security. Our patrolling guards turn off lights, PC’s and various machines if needed. They will turn the tap off, report on faulty toilets, remove bothersome and/or harmful subjects from walking areas etc. To put it briefly, we contribute to a better environment and a great extent of security along with our clients.
We have a clear position regarding the environment. If we can contribute positively in consideration of our day-to-day running – THEN THAT IS WHAT WE DO.
For instance, we abide by the EU-standards for vehicles – abbreviated WLTP, which became effective on 1 September 2018. Among other things we also use HYBRID vehicles and we are continually exchanging to even more environmentally preferable types.
We have reduced the use of paper e.g. guard reporting is done electronically. All our portable devices are rechargeable, and all driving is planned based on both an operationally and environmentally consideration.
We also take societal responsibility on a human level. For instance, it is only a few of the Danish security companies that provide a vocational education for young people to become a security guard. We take responsibility in Vasik and are helping young people to have a vocational education and career in the security industry. That is also why we regularly have trainees associated with the company. And we are above the demands that is requested from us regarding the number of trainees.
We are both hiring men and women and willingly with a different ethnic background. We are purely looking at the individual’s capacity and especially attitude and personality for a job as a security guard. At Vasik, we have members of staff in a flexible job when it is possible, often in close cooperation with our clients. Since 2014, Vasik have donated an amount to the organization Danske Julemærkehjem which helps kids lose weight and to get a healthy living – we also sponsor local initiatives as well.
Our members of staff are the most important asset in Vasik. That is why our responsibility is to make sure that our staff feel well, that we create good work-related surroundings and employment security. Furthermore, we provide several opportunities for physical training, dentist etc.
We take corporate social responsibility through the HAE-concern, and among other things we have a shared CSR-policy.
